This playground just recently reopened after a long refurbishment. It's a great place now. Come check it out and play for awhile, or just have a sit in the shade for a bit. It's a block of King's Road in Chelsea. The playground is on the far end of the park which is surrounded by Sydney Street on one side (where St. Luke's Church is located), Britten Street, and Cale Street. From a web site about the park: St. Luke’s has unusual and attractive flower displays, a hardplay area available for football, tennis and netball, and a children’s play area. The park is a popular relaxation area for both visitors to the King’s Road and local residents. This park has a dog run. If you have questions or can't find us, please call my mobile at 07891 777 808. Hope to see you there, Rina

The National Army Museum has a great indoor play area called the Kid's Zone. The museum and entry into the Kid's Zone is free. The first session of the day begins at 10:00 a.m. and goes until 11:20 a.m. This session fills up pretty fast, so I recommend getting there just before 10:00 a.m. There is stuff for all ages in the Kid's Zone including soft play for things for babies. There's a Costa Coffee cafe inside the museum as well, if you need an extra shot of caffeine. This will be the last meeting of 2008. Hope to see you there! Please email me if you have any questions and/or concerns. Thanks, Rina

Let's pretend that summer is still happening on October 4th from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. with a picnic in the park. A couple of us "Hip Mamas" are putting together a "picnic for the planet" and raising some money to donate to the UK Rainforest Foundation. It's also just an excuse to get together and meet one another, have some fun and games for the kids, and wear some green (not required). We'll be meeting in St. Luke's Park which is bordered on one side by Sydney St., and on the other side by Britten St. next door to St. Luke's Church (SW3 6NH). We'll be meeting in the park NOT the playground (which is on the other side of the church and well worth a visit as well). Bring something to eat and drink and we'll have activities and some additional treats to eat. If it rains, we'll send out another email with a change of venue, but we're hoping for the best. Please RSVP when you have a chance and feel free to call or email me if you have any other questions. Hope to see some of you there, Rina
